I planted this plantation 6 years ago 3800 plants. The oaks where 2+1s so that makes them 9 years old look acorns. I thought oaks did not produce acorns until at least 20ish:001_smile:

That must be extremely satisfying for you David. Being responsible for a project like that is fantastic. Your hard work leaving a legacy to the future. Brilliant.

 

A friend of mine has a 12 year old oak in her garden and this year it is full of acorns. These experts dont know what they are talking about....charlatans the lot of them!:laugh1:

I don't know sean at the moment i think working in Richmond park looking at mutant beech seems a good job:lol:

Both job lots of Oaks are just setting seed before they drop this mortal coil.

We obviously play a big part in the fine line that is life or death for these beasts, but ultimately it will be an interaction that is a mere blink of time for what could be a dynastical bio legacy.
