1st go with Zigzag.

So after climbing for 18yrs with a rope and Prussik decided it was well overdue a go with a new climbing system.

So I got a zigzag and paired it with the Yale blue tongue.

After one climb on a medium beech tree I'm an absolute convert. Obviously it's not going to be right to use in every climbing scenario we are faced with where as a Prussik can be used for everything but it's a brilliant piece of kit and I definitely recommend them.

Didn't 1st go thought new rope new territory wasn't sure how fast it would descend. But 2nd tree stuck one up there lovley. So much less effort wish I'd had them all those years.

Cheers John yeah I did contemplate years ago having a brief go on a lock jack but it wasn't for me the zigzags right in the middle spot on. Well done petzl.

Perfect choice of device and rope....welcome to the club! P.s the ZigZag is as versatile if not more than a prussick and is ideal for every scenario. (GREAT in the wet) Pimp your system up with a pulley saver!

Go for the small one, I made that mistake, unless you do a lot of big take downs

Got my own one at mo 2.75m and quite often at max length, so thought of longer one or could just add in an extra extension sling when req

Hi did you look at other devices as well ? I'm in the same boat always climbed on prussik and don't know which one to go for ?? But I'm not a regular climber few time a month so I've always stuck with what I know 🤔
