Are we actually living in 'The Age of Stupid'?

Some of you may have watched this film a few years ago.... 'The Age of Stupid'.

It's a film about Climate Change.

The thing for me is that watching recent news events ~ ya know.... things like resource wars, pollution, drought, displacement of millions of people and flooding kinda takes me back to this film...

Are we actually 'The Age of Stupid' and if so, can anything be done about it?

cheers, Steve

p.s.... climate deniers are also welcome to contribute here. Just lets be nice to each other eh.

No. What we did a few years ago was swap common sense for Management, management becoming a job all on its own.

What I'm trying (badly) to explain is, we've breed a rake of folk that manage jobs/schemes that they don't know anything, or very little about.

Clear as mud.:001_rolleyes:

This wound me up along those exact lines, it was put up on a business training website with a caption along the lines of "hey well, let's all work on our personalities" rather than "I best pull my finger out and learn about my job/ company/ industry instead of driving my employer on to the rocks by being a know-nothing bullsh*tter"

We are rewarding a culture of smugness. Perhaps it's always been so?

No,i think we live in a world of denial, shifting the blame and appearing to address the issues but in reality doing sod all.

I think we all know what needs to be done to slow climate change but very few of us are willing to change our lives radically too do it.

Case in point our goverment has recently pulled the subsidies on the wind turbines on green energy and poured more back into fossil fuels.

How many of us would happily go without fuel to help save the planet...very few.

This is my opinion, others will differ im sure
