Did a day freelance yesterday for a gang of lads collecting foliage for christmas wreaths/garlands etc. Was good fun and very interesting climbing on piece rate, anyone else done any of this?

Bashed down 2 large Lawson last week. Mate arranged for a maid to come and collect some foliage. She took 2 transit tipper loads - bonus! And she bunged £20 as a thank you paid for the pasties!

Done it for Mistletoe once, its a lot of climbing on some skinny Poplars

I remember doing that years ago when I first started in the woods.

But we didn't have the ropes:thumbdown: we got ladder up to the first good branch then that was us for the day just swinging tree to tree

Seem to remember it was great fun some views when you broke through the canopy
