Just picked up a parking ticket an hour and a half ago in Bath Somerset but not payin

There are loads of reasons why.

 

Maybe after slapping a ticket on your window the traffic attendant was....

killed by a heart attack,

ran over by a bus.

abducted by aliens.

lured by a lady of the night.

clocked off

 

maybe they gave you 10 mins grace then put a ticket on, the other cars had only just parked up.

you were the only illegal parked at the time, they ticketed you then moved to another area.

They are an at member.

 

Ie it doesnt matter, you were causing an obstruction and got fined, pay up and stop complaining.

Maybe the warden ran out of tickets. Happened to me. I was at the end of a long line of offenders, and when I got back to my van some fella shouted "ya lucky bar steward " from across the road, and told me she had gone back to wherever to get more. Ha!

Think about it, you are complaining that someone else committed a crime but they didnt get prosecuted so why should you?

 

I bet you would get really pissed if I complained that i was getting nicked for stealing logs from your yard because someone else was doing the same at the same time but got away with it.

 

Anyway, not to worry, I will file it in the same place as the bus thread.

In reality it is exactly the same its just your trying to justify it.

 

You committed a crime and got nicked, you are then saying its not fair because someone else did the same crime and didnt get nicked.

FWIW, even the hardest criminal can justify or explain their actions, its not human nature to say we are in the wrong.

 

Yes its certainly not the worst crime in the world parking on a single yellow but it can be a pita for other people. So best just to pay the fine, stop whining and move on, im sure no one literally died that day due to your actions .

 

At least the fine is going to a good cause.
