Ro-Ro Bin Access width

What is the actual MINIMUM access width required for a Ro-ro bin lorry? Ive googled it and some sites say it will fit, some say no chance.

Got around 2.9 metres to play with.

The lorry is 2.55 m wide.

Hmmm, are these measurements the same as the hook lorry 8 wheelers?

All proper lorries are 2.55 metres wide, it's the maximum permissible width under construction and use regs.

so 2.9m is more than adequate.....? It has to fit, if not there's a lot of small trailer loads, 100+!

2.55 is the max, he may well be under that, my trailers vary from 8` to 8`6" . He will be folding his mirrors in but they are used to that.

As long as he can back up to the entry straight should be no issue. I stride 9 of my size 9 boots as a quick size check and have never failed to get it in yet. The only thing to add to what has been mentioned, if the truck has an easy sheet system it will be wider where the arms are.

The easy sheet on my trailer hangs off the side of the bin 9" , luckily its higher than most gates but if its in the way I just pull the sheet over.
