1 cu metre crate of imported ash £149 the tightly packed crate tips into exactly two full bags of loose logs. Bags are 0.85m all sides. We sell bags at £79. It's selling well even though it is expensive, but it is very good quality kiln dried stuff. Customers love it. Softwood goes out at £49 a bag. Mixed seasoned hardwood at £59 but we're running out of that.

Is it worth it for £9 less expenses?

How do you make any money at that.unless you are selling 200 a day plus delivery charge.I'd rather stay in bed

Not me but the way I read it is 149 to get the stuff in then split it in 2 and then sell for £158 it don't add up to me

Oh I see! No, that's the price we retail a crate for. I guess you're right though, it's only nine quid extra to bag it, which only takes five minutes, but I see what you mean now! My post was a bit misleading...apologies.

That makes more sense as it looked like buying and splitting for £9

£9 for bagging up is fine as you say 5 mins work.

😀😀 I thought you were working for nowt on them !!

were from the south east in hertfordshire and weve been going for 4 years and we were selling at £40 per bulk bag or 3 for £100 until this year where its £50 per bulk bag or 3 for £130. its a full tim thing and as a family business teres 5 of us and we feel we make a fair living out of it. yet were always being told "your too cheap" " your making it hard for the rest of us" so what we say is "well buy it off of us sell it on and we will only supply you, and no one takes us up because 1 its not worth their while as they can produce their own cheaper which shows how gready they are and 2 they cant be bothered. SO my advice is if we can do it why cant you!!! :]

Haha yh who dosnt but where we are people seem to want to pay reasonable prices, the next cheapest to us is £60 cubic metre bulk bag, then it goes up to 80 then to like £120. I think the average english person would rather pay as least as possible for the exact same product and quality, obviously its different for those who sell wood in crates or loose
