It's a round hook . not quite a full ring ,but a ring with a gap.will try and take pic once I have warmed up,came in soaking and frozen trying to earn an honest crust

Is the winder at the rear of the mud flap?

Helped a guy at the side of the road the other week, think his was a 56 plate.

Doesnt a big wide flat screw driver fit into the winder?

 

The mud flap gets in the way with the L shape tool supplied by Ford, makes for slow progress

LOL i got the same problem on an 02 transit as i don't have that 'winding rod' to lower me spare tyre !

 

I have got the original jack though but i'm gonna buy a 6 ton bottle jack as they are easier to use.

 

And i don't fancy trying to jack up a transit full of chip with the flimsy Ford jack.

 

 

Biggarlogs if u have a second winding rod you want to sell then i'll have it please.
