I'll try to get a photo of the socket in the spare wheel winder thing.

Is the winder at the rear of the mud flap?

Helped a guy at the side of the road the other week, think his was a 56 plate.

Doesnt a big wide flat screw driver fit into the winder?

The mud flap gets in the way with the L shape tool supplied by Ford, makes for slow progress

LOL i got the same problem on an 02 transit as i don't have that 'winding rod' to lower me spare tyre !

I have got the original jack though but i'm gonna buy a 6 ton bottle jack as they are easier to use.

And i don't fancy trying to jack up a transit full of chip with the flimsy Ford jack.

Biggarlogs if u have a second winding rod you want to sell then i'll have it please.

If you want it pm me your address and I will post it to you. Old Mill seems to have gone quiet on it.if not I will put it in the Xmas raffle!

Damn it, I forgot to look at the socket on the winder thing.

Too busy with work.

I'll look tomorrow and let you know, unless I've missed the boat.
