Knot less rigging on a budget.

I use a steel fixed eye Krab on the end of a lowering rope for quick hassle free rigging. But.... one of the biggest cause of rows whilst rigging is the time taken to detach the Krab, the rope is can be tricky to get in and out of the gate whilst wearing thick gloves/rain/shouty climber so I had this idea.

A fixed eye on the end as normal with another running free along the line for easy attchement/detachment.

Used it today, worked a treat

3 pics to explain

Pic 1: one can splice the end Krab in to make it tidier if you have that skill set

A bit like the free running krab, but I reckon there could be dramas if the free running one is left at the bottom when the rigging ropes sent back up.

Surely it'll come back up with the other one? The picture is just a tree in my garden, imagine it horizontal.

I like it. Do you think you could get away with using a prussick instead of another krab?

I think I get what you mean, but it wouldnt choke the limb.

A steel ring would be better than the carabiner imo.

Or use a sling to choke the piece and biner to clip onto rope.

You could substitute a steel ring for the end Krab, that would work well,

Clipping onto rope is what I'm trying to avoid.
