Archbishop of Canterbury doubts the presence of God!

Monsanto are a nasty bunch, but their invention (glyphosate) is good stuff. The recent UE bans and new regs was just more of the same quasi-religeous hysteria, which the politicians either share in or just cave in to...

They were finding roundup in breast-milk and bread, not because granny sprays her gravel paths with it, but simply because wheat farmers use it to kill the wheat crop, ensuring it dries on the stalk thus making it more efficient to harvest and cure. They spray the potatoes with it too. Madness, utter madness. So banning it from the shelves of you local garden centre, making it illegal for Joe and Jenny to spray the bramble patch with it, is obviously the way to go. Still legal to pray it on our wheat, but not on the yard.....

That's why I have no faith in the scientists and politicians. And a stockpile of generic gyphosate....but not Monsanto's stuff......

So it's fine for Islamists to act like that now in the name of religion because fundamentalist Christians did it 500 years ago? If you follow you're logic the rest of the world must wait 500 years for an Islamic reformation followed by another few hundred years of enlightenment and at that point, only then can are we allowed to make judgements on Sharia Law?

I'm sure the people sentenced to death in Iran and Saudi Arabia would find your words, "This is Religion" very comforting.

But I used no such logic.

You made a ridiculous claim on my behalf as if it was a consequence of my post - which was an example of cherry picking to counter yours, to show how easy it is to make a case by highlighting the specific rather than the general, but hairon's example did it better better - and then you spunked a load more nonsense based on that claim and attributed it to my logic.

I can only think: Huh?

Yeah really; Like some of your previous replies, I can only think, "Huh?"

You are deliberately fanning the flames of hatred - if you hadn't noticed that fire is roaring quite nicely just now and needs no help.

I worry that innocent people in Leeds, Manchester, Oxford, Bristol will have their lives destroyed because of it.

Mull. Last line^ That's why. Maybe it's not rational but <shrug>

Ha, cool. Must have been a Freudian slip....the result of my childhood indoctrination no doubt.

Now when I pump up my backpack s/prayer I'll sing "Go-SPRAY-it-on-the-mountain--over-the-hills-aaaaand-everywaaare..."

Ha ha!

I think you'll find that Christian music has come on a long way since that tune.
