Regardless of self-employment or employee, it's a job you got to do that you otherwise wouldnt have had the chance to do so that's a bonus.

I'm not having a go at you in any way at all, but I have learned in this job that sometimes you dont have the opportunity to let feeling, philosophies or morals get in the way... drop the tree, take the money/collect your pay packet. The guy who ring barked it actually did you a favour in a way (depending how you look at it)

So, all in all.. another day at the office :thumbup1:

If i let feelings/phil;osophies get in the way i wouldn't have a job.

Noosa, Queensland.

Never forget seeing a HUGE billboard, and I mean HUGE! in front of some dead tree stumps in front of a swanky apartment.

It said something like-

These trees (x-year old) were illegally poisoned to obtain an ocean view for these recently built apartments. It didn't work.

Class, in my opinion.

I suggested that when a several hundred years old lime were killed in Stockholm for waterview, brilliant move I think.

We had that today where residents in new houses have felled 2o-30 semi mature trees, that were left as natural habitats in a developmentarea. Luckily one of the neighbours, who didnt like the trees to be felled, had a camera....:sneaky2:Well see what the police thinks...

IMO, it make a BIG difference if you OWN the tree.

If you damage or kill a tree that does not belong to you, they should throw the book at you.

I'll be cutting it down for free. The chaps a council tennant and has wanted it down for a long time but can't afford to pay for it.

Regardless though I'm still cutting down a healthy tree just for the sake of an ocean view. I feel OK about this as its just a crappy tree, but I wonder how I would feel if it was a nice tree it that spot. Would I offer to fell a nice tree which enhances the look of the whole road just to get my view? I'm not sure.
