Hi All,

im looking into buying my first top handle saw. undecided between the ms201tcm or the 193tc.

Would the 193 hold up in day to use for chogging down etc or is it more suited to removing small limbs and reduction work?

thanks in advance

Neither...husky 540xp.Also heard good things about echo but never used one myself.

Look closely at all chainsaws and eventually you'll find faults with all of them.Having used stihsl in a work environment for years i went out and bought a t540xp for subbie work.Think thats all i have to say.You will however get lots of advice on this from other members -who will-condem/promote all makes and models, which no doubt will leave you more confused and undecided than when you started.Good luck

ive heard alot of things about the t540xp being very badly built and breaking because of it? im not sure if thats the case though having never used one.

I have one that's exactly one year old (bought from skyland on their Black Friday sale) apart from the awful bar that comes with it I can't fault it.

I fact I decided yesterday if i could only have one saw it would be this one due to its power and versatility (have used it for ringing up when bigger saws haven't started *cough* 550xp )
