Sounds like fuel to me not the coil, if it was running ok before you put it away there should be no need to alter the screws for now, i would drain the fuel even thought its Aspen ( it does not last forever ) and refill with fresh, if no better, new fuel filter in the tank, check all the hoses for leakage, then carb apart and good clean, there will be check valves so be carful with high pressure through jets , make sure the metering lever is free to move and the inlet needle is free in the carb body.

I had another look at it today, it is firing the once then flooding from the state of the plug. I shall have to strip the carb again and check if the needle valve fork is set right.

An update on this, I bought a cheap carb from L&S with 2 spare spark plugs, 30 quid all in. I previously had  a diaphragm set for the original Walbro but I popped the non genuine one on and it runs perfectly.

The throttle cable was badly frayed and gave out, as the genuine replacement is an inner and outer plus the two low tension leads it costs about 30 quid, so I bought a cycle gear cable  (2m for £2), silver soldered a length at the trigger end and bent it to the S shape. The other end I made a ferrule from the nib of a ballpoint pen, added the spring from it to close the throttle. I crimped and silver soldered it. It seems to work well but the time involved makes paying the full price more sensible if you are busy working.
