So I just bought an unloved husky for £50

The saw run fine last time it was used 2yrs ago (I was there) but since then it's just been stuck under the bench in a garage.

My plane is strip/clean & hopefully get running, my question is was it worth it or have I just bought a door stop?

Any advice is welcome

I am getting all nostalgic, the Rancher50 was a great litttle, as reliable as you like, the choke system depressing the air filer over the inlet was a little strange but did work, you need to check the air filter frame has not collapsed or it will run really rich, the starter pulley in the picture is correct, nothing missing there.

That was a strange bit of design, as you say, seemed to work OK and these old saws often come up like new with a bit of cleaning giving a solid robust tool for a bit of winter fuel:thumbup:

I've managed to get the pull start working (just about) it has good spark but ive found the air filter is missing I just have the plate on the carb, now I'm thinking I need to check the barrel as no doubt it was run without the filter. Need to find a good place for bits as I can't find stuff on eBay.

Maybe I should have just bought a new 135 😂😂
