foot ascender over spurs?

I scoped(assessed) my next job this afternoon before heading off home for the weekend.It is a part dismantle then fell.

I will have a bit of a climb to get into the crown then I intend to spike the leaders.The question it poses is can you use a foot ascender strapped on over your spurs.I have never tried to before and I may have to wait until I get back to work to find out.I have cmi,s and pantin,s.

Any tips, comments or gifts appreciated.

They go over spkies quite well and are very handy. I use PAntin, but I'm sure the CMI's would fit aswell.

I use the Gecko with the protruding spike (euro?) and for this no tips are neccesary, just put it on and I'm sure you will be happy with the results. I cannot say for flatter lying spikes. Is it an SRT line or Doubled?

I assume the assenders tuck in beside the spur? Do they not get in the way once you start spring?

I sit my behind the shank. Not as comfy as with no spikes but works fine

Same except I find it more comfortable with spikes.

same here with pantin, i put that on first then the spikes
