Hahahaha!

Hopefully it will reopen one day.

The Rede Valley is a bit short of pubs at the minute, but the Redesdale Arms (The First and Last) can still be good on the right night.

The Holly Bush at Greenhaugh is also worth a look sometimes.

I can't really help with digs John, I just stay in my old bedroom!

Hi mark thanks mate sound great thanks Jon

The holly bush is a good one ... So is are the pubs at fallstone which is close to greenhaugh so look around for places at greenhaugh and falstone its all national park there and your close to hadrians wall and keilder this ones in falstone ,worked here the other day and it is stunning also has 3 good pubs near by but about the most expensive to rent In Northumberland !

The first one I sent you a link too is out side the national park also on a working farm and the a accommodation is the nothing to write home about but I like staying up there if I want to be on the coast , good pubs and Food in local village there.

It's a big county so maybe worth doing a few nights in the national park then up on the east coast around Anick or the holy island john is what I would do.

I hope you'll have a wonderful time in Northumberland.

I would stop at Alnwick. Or the village Alnmouth.

There's the alnwick castle one of seventy castles in Northumberland. Alnwick gardens .

Staying at Alnwick you're half a hours drive from the toon and half a hours drive from Berwick upon Tweed.

North Northumberland where i come from has the Holy island , Bamburgh castle and beach and etc ,etc.

Don't forget you Fleece can be a bit chilly . All the best Jon
