Where's the best place to stay in northumberland thanks

Hi all in late October we thinking of going to Northumberland looking for somewhere very quiet do you know of anywhere all please thanks Jon

The local pub at Dad and Mams is pretty quiet Jon.

It's shut.

We stayed in a folly by the sea near to Durham, £75 a night

I know of a few cottages up on the east coast on a friends farm.. One of the places I fish Sweethope lochs has a holiday cottage that's pretty much central Northumberland , very quiet although the views been slightly ruined by the huge turbines that you either love or hate !

What are you after Jon?

Bit of walking, bit of sight-seeing, good pub grub?

Generally the further up you go the less populated it is.

It's a big county.
