New gear

Recommended Posts

Hi guys I've been climbing on works gear for about a year now and want to buy my own stuff so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on ropes.

I've been using poison ivy and I like it but it but the shop I'm going to buy from doesn't stock it. My options are tachyon, blue tongue and imori. Any pros and cons would be helpful cheers

It's very much a personal preference, I had a length of tachyon which I really didn't get on with, found it hard to grip especially in the wet and it put me off 11.7mm ropes for a while.

Have just got a length of Blue Tongue, and my opinion has changed, what a lovely rope
