finally got round to trying to fit my radio ear defenders onto my new stein helmet. i never understood why stein had to design there helmet so it wouldnt fit any ear defender, it seemed a bit weird to me but i managed to sort it out. it ended up alright works just like it all should so im happy get comfort of the stein helmet and the pleasure of the radio so im happy with it.

 

any of you guys had to do this or is it just me who cant live with them silly wire peltor ear defenders?

structural alterations to a helmet are a big no-no...

 

 

 

nice job tho, i do hate peltor style wirey muffs

 

thanks. the holes are exactly the same as it came out the box. i just cut, drilled a couple of holes in my radio ear defenders bracket to make them fit the helmet holes.

Thank god its not just me who cannot stand those stihl wire ear deffs, i really like my stien helmet but i just cannot wear it with those peltor things, i shall definately be either buying some adaptors or just redrilling the sordin ones i have!!!

do they fit the original kask helmets justin? if so what do they retail at? got husky muffs on my freeby stihl/petzl vent helmet atm and it feels a lot nicer than my kask with the peltor muffs.
