I'm at the same point as Orchard and run a trailer (with a wee Greenmech piggybacked onto it) and a 4X4 pickup, I chip into the trailer (leaving enuf room for the chipper to be carried) and also chip into my high sided pickup. I need to buy a 3.5 ton tipper (Isuzu Grafter, Transit etc). However i will keep my 4x4 pickup and high sided non tipping Ifor ( 10' x 5'6'' ) trailer. I have just bought a bigger 8'' chipper too. I'll see how i get on running 2 vehicles as i could sell the 4x4 pickup and buy an Astra van for more economy and towing but i loathe the idea of selling my truck ! Just gotta decide do i buy a 3.5 ton tipping vehicle or do i opt ferra 6 tonner and accept i may need to run a tacho and any associated extra inspections etc. See what pans out i guess.

So do I, happy to get rid of it for nothing locally. Not worth the time/money to sell it.

I just can't find people who want to pay for it, fresh or rotted. I would rather just give it away and get filling it again. If you can get money for chip then nice one:)

Over the years I,ve ran numerous vehicles and chippers . Expanded the business to a crew of three full time and myself . Due to stress and workload

I,m now running a skeleton shift of one l200 crewcab . Two chippers and a 10ft trailer . Plus my trusty ram stumper . I could not be happier . Chip into the l200 every day and tip off within 3 miles max of the work site . Bigger jobs my good lady will bring the chipper to work for me .I then proceed to chip into the l200 and the trailer and when Im done she will come and pick up the chipper .

Last year I did less than 5000 miles  Suits me for now :thumbup1:

I give my chip away as it makes my life easier as I have loads of chip tips to choose from.

I sell the best chip via word of mouth and this web site here:

Paillage, BRF et Copeaux de Bois Jardinage Ille-et-Vilaine - leboncoin.fr

but I do give the conifer away to a local farmer for bio-mass and bedding.

I only pay to tip if along way from home and no takers via the web sites.
