There's a case coming up soon with my mate.

He rented out his building, which was used to grow canabiss in the upstairs part, there was an electrical fault and the building set on fire and is badly damaged.

The rentee was arrested but my mate is now of the mind that the rentees insurance wont pay out, I dont know whether my mate had his own insurance

This only happened this weekend so wont find out for a while

Was there any canabis left over??? :001_tt2:

They would lose a lot of custom to competition if they started being picky

I seem to remember my insurance co. asking wether I had this or that ticket and wether I did risk assesments etc. So now that I have said that I do have these tickets they could refuse a payout if I didn't have something that I claimed to have. If they don't ask however, its a grey area it seems.

Good Discount !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......................now we're talking incentive.

They dont put a loading on to knock off do they, how do they compare to say NFU who dont ask

I've never asked them for a quote, but a mate of mine asked me who did my lolering a few years back, as he was with them and wanted the discount.

Unless someone posts who has had a bad experience with arb insurance then I think we will never know.

I sort of asked this awhile ago, being that there were a number of threads asking who is the cheapest but not who is the best.

No one replied saying that they had been 'caught out' in a claim etc.

Personally I think the worry/paranoia with insurance is because we have all seen the adverts of "blame claim" or know of car/house insurance victims who have been stiffed (I was so nearly shafted recently on a car accident claim but a decent solicitor sorted it),

It would seem that either not many of us have had to claim or that all claims have been dealt with reasonably.

Insurance costs probably 2-3% of my turnover, I can live with that as long as they will pay when I fook up!

Hopefully time wont tell.

I think your spot on there!!

Its real funny how all the guys who waffle on about how you won't get paid out if you haven't done this that or the other have NOTHING to say in a thread on that very subject.

I have had a couple of claims, one my fault (church window) one not, employee injuring him self, both were paid out no problem.

I read on hear the other day some guys saying how if you did not have the NPTC ticket for the exact task you were carrying out you would not be covered?? Have they not heard of "transferable skills"??

You are required to act in a "reasonable" manner NOT be a anal muppet running round worrying more about bits of paper than experience, skill and good planing.
