Drowned refugee children

Everyone seems to want to work/live in Australia and New Zealand. If you want to go there, you have to have something those countries need. Isn't that what you're saying Kev?

That's certainly a part of it, you try landing in New Zealand waiting for a hand out. If you do go to Aus/NZ you are also on financial probation for I think its 2 years. Basically if you can't prove you will be adding to the country and not draining it you can stay otherwise it's back you go. Relatives must be sponsored by family if they wish to stay and are not given state hand outs.

A refugee is supposed to claim asylum in the first port / country they reach. Most are not escaping purely for their safety they want a better life and I am sure if I were in the same situation I would want the same. They (most) are ILLEGAL immigrants when they reach the UK yet they are given homes, money, healthcare, etc.

However this country has major issues that need resolving before we pile any more on our plate. Numerous homeless, drug and alcohol dependants, starving and cold elderly people, children living in poverty, massive unemployment. We need to shut our borders to all people who do not bring something positive that the country needs. Housing should not be provided, healthcare should not be free and cash should not be given out.

I know these are harsh comments but why for example should my grandparents both work their entire life, pay a boat load of tax and save their whole working life have every penny and the house taken from them in old age for specialist care for one of them in a dementia home yet they share it with someone who has come to this country as a dependant of an illegal immigrant who gets identical care for free?

We need to get our house in order as the current rate of economic immigration will sink the country. I know the migrant crisis won't wait for us but something needs to be done to ensure refugees are helped (preferably in their own country) and illegal economic migration is stopped.

Let the abuse begin!!!

I agree with every word!!!

I agree with every word!!!

Me too.

I notice these people all seem to be cutting about in the latest branded sportswear etc, so they're not the poor goat herding folk the media paints them to be.

A lot of people have put a lot of blood, sweat, tears and taxes into making this country what it is. We (they) didn't do that so some Adidas adorned Syrian who fancies a life in a cosy flat watching DVDs can come over and get endless handouts of Diazepam for his 'ptsd'.

Send em home, blow up IS, job done! :thumbup1:

Err perhaps not in that order. :001_tongue:

Whilst I was doing my yearly trim of a Conifer hedge owned by a local to me Police Officer . We got talking as we do every year . I wasn't at all surprised to find out that the reported sex crimes in the area have tripled . Yes your right nearly all were committed by foreigners seeking refuge in the uk

Correct! Just watch the 'wall of shame, thing they do on Crimewatch.

All ethnics and eastern Europeans that they're hunting for rapes and sexual assaults.

I very much doubt that those people putting their children on those boats are doing it because they think they will get a better life. They are doing it because they are desperate and have no other option.

It shows how terrible it must be where they live and how lucky we are to be born in the UK.
