I'm back and well knackered.

I'd like to thank all the exhibitors and all you guys that came down to the show. It was the first time I have organised my own show and without exhibitors and punters, there would be no show.

I need to thank so many people:

  • I can't thank Richard from Kingswood enough for letting me hold the show on his ground
  • Andrew Cowan for doing the Talks
  • Nick Potts for doing such a great job running the competitions and giving up at least a week of his time to make sure everything went well
  • Steve Bullman for letting me advertise on here, I'm sure the arbtalk community contributed no end to the show's success
  • Mick Stockbridge for dropping off timber for the demos

The list could go on and on - sorry if I've missed anyone!

I hope everyone had a good time and I covered everything, but I need feedback from you guys on anything that would improve it for next year. Please be honest if anything wasn't quite right.

Was very impressed with how clean and tidy Arb show punters are - went around with a litter picker after the show, but could only fill half a black sack!

There are a couple of lost-and-found items to try to reunite with their owners:

- A case for a Leatherman

- A single Nike trainer (believed to be previously enjoyed by John Shuttler..? How does someone lose just one shoe?!?)

Please get in touch to have claimed items sent back to their rightful owners.

Have got a load of photos to post soon, but the camera is buried under a pile of show stuff for now...

Thanks again to all and here's to a bigger and better one next year!

No.... a big THANK YOU to you and the other organisers for giving us a "proper" show for the ordinary, hard-grafting types. You seemed to think of everything. One thing would be nice though for the future... breakfast from about 8am, with hot drinks. Most were resourceful enough to bring some, some werent:blushing: Other than that, virtually perfect in every way, even booked decent weather, till Dean brought a bucketfull of Northern rain with him!! Good to have a proper fire in the evening too. A big :thumbup:from me

Jeez you’re up early! I was so knackered that I’ve only just woke up!

I think I speak on behalf of all of the exhibitors & visitors when i thank both jonesie & Richard from Kingswood very very much for the opportunity to attend such an enjoyable show. I think enhancing the social side of a trade show was a great idea and hope that the camping & late night entertainment will be able to continue & grow at the show in the future.

Its good 2 hear that u found the site to be so tidy and hope that every ones responsible & co-operative attitude which was & is required continues to build this show in to one of the best & THE most enjoyable in the arb diary!

Once again: thank you jonesie & Richard very very much!

Yes a very big thankyou to the organisers.

I've been to some shows but this was very different, going to a show where you know most of the people that exhibit and attend is unique and I hope it continues,

I hope there was enough footfall for exhibitors to give it another go next time because I think the footfall figure will be doubled the second year once others hear about it and what a success it was.

Well done Justin, I understand and appreciate the work that goes into organising even relatively small events, hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did

I would like to echo Justins comments - thanks to all the exhibitors and visitors for taking the time to come and support us. The whole event had a great feel to it, and I have already had a lot of positive feedback. A big thank you also for keeping the noise down after midnight for the sake of the neighbours, and for leaving the site so clean and tidy. Your involvement and good behaviour was much appreciated.

Justin, your great organising and effective promotion made the show a great success from a standing start - that's quite an achievement. Here's to a bigger and even better one next year!

Richard
