sorry to bring up an old thread. i've just nicked my airstreams with my saw:crying: this hasn't happened to me in about 6 years but still hart breaking loved those boots. so i'm in the market for a new pair. thinking about phanner zermatt instead of another pair of air stream.

i don't use spikes much at all (find its to slow for most things) so not to worry about support. but i do like my comfort. is it worth the weight difference? would be my question. and are they as good for branch walking and jumping around in the tree?

If you have just nicked them could you repair them with silicone or take them to a cobblers? I wore my airstreams til the soles wore through

Thanks for the advice guys, I did buy the zermetts in the end, well worth the money, a good well built and extremely comfy boot, 👍🏼

I love my airstreams but I also love the look of the Andrews .

Especially the srt aspect .

Would you mind giving me a little feedback on what it is that you like .

On second pair of Andrews but got about a year out of last pair , two years out the zermatts but difference is the zermatts are warmer in winter but you need a fridge for your feet after a day's work in summer with them... I will get about 6 -7 months out of any other boots I've tried but don't get on with airstreams at all so can't really comment on them as I lasted two days before I sold them on!
