Stein friction savers DO NOT use these rings.

I don't think the ART Ropeguide used them. Mine has ART stamped on the ring. I would also appreciate information from any one that knows more than I.

I have had it confirmed that it is the Kong one that have been recalled not, the Art or Stein ones.

edit, I have just spoken to safety Technologies regarding the rings used on the Treeflex harness, they have confirmed the rings on these harnesses are from CT and not sourced from Kong.

I got a Edelrid FS and already wondered about the high pitched npise if they smacked together, which in my opinion is a sign of very hard (so light breaking) material.

 

I already wrote Edelrid but got no answer. Anyone knows for sure about their rings? They got no test markings at all.

The recalled rings were manufactured by Kong from Italy and we have had confirmation from our supplier of Edelrid products, that Edelrid do not have any association with Kong.

 

Hope this info. gives you total confidence in your Edelrid friction saver.
