Evening all,We've recently done a couple of jobs using a hiab and im very impressed in how much faster it made the job go,not to mention the amount of mess it saved!

So my question is where and what would you guys in the know recommened to buy or where from? We were looking at one mounted on a trailor because we have access to a tractor whenever we like. We thought about a lorry with one already on but are slightly put off because of tacho's and what not.

Also does any one know how much they are to have LOLER'd?

Any advice and help greatly appreciated, cheers all

value for money then there is my trailer in classifieds mate, needs some tlc to the brakes, and away you go. it has served me well. 22 foot reach to the side and 30 straight up. and you can soon get a manual extension for the end easy enough.

How much can it lift at full extension and how much next to the trailor?

There are ways round it, you can register the vehicle as a special vehicle for forestry or related works, that way you can run on red and avoid using tacos and drive it with a normal license.

This is only what some of those i work for do, so i'm not sure on the ins and outs and neither are the dvla/vosa on a recent stop by vosa in an ex-army 4x4 daf with hiab on a dual carrigeway they didn't like it but really couldn't find any fault in the way it was being used?

Something to look into, I do like the trailer idea though it seems to work well for some.

As for loler i don't think its much unless they find something wrong!
