Climber, truck and chipper

Come on, a man, a truck and chopper for £150 a day? That is just bloody stupid. I'm baffled at how you can make a living.

No that's not what I meant. At the moment as a freelance climber that's what I charge. Just me, climbing kit and saws.

If I didn't have a truck and a chipper than I would as I pay £140 for a climber, then I charge my chipper out on jobs at £120 so that's not far off the mark eggs.

I'll try again! Yesterday I said Jeanseys' set-up is worth £250/day, after loads of bollocks it seem that you would pay £260 for the same services.:confused1:

Agreed, find your own work at at least double your income, that kind of money you should be able to get with a hedge cutter and a bicycle!

I won't divulge how i make the most money from my little chipper venture other than to say its by the hour, and that first hour is a golden one, :001_tt2:, cannot give too many secrets away in life or everyone would have a new tw230  and that's not poking fun at anyone, i'm not new to this game, done it a long time, and not just in this country, and not only used my arms and back, made good of going to school and university, it's a very competitive market and you do need to think how you can maximize your time and any investment. my mission statement now is ' Work as little as possible for as much as possible ' running a company and employing staff consumed my life beyond belief , it all became a chase for the work to feed the company. much better work balance now.

Ok let's assume everyone has truck then eggs. If I got a job in and get another Groundy to help and get £650-£700 a day then fine, But someone owning a truck and chipper needs to be charging £300 a day to be sustainable. I pick and choose my work these days to be honest and things are far better doing it this way.

Your reading the bits that you want to read rather than reading what's being posted!

Fair play bud, then add a chipper £100 and a van say £100 there's £350 is that not ok?
