Here's a similar picture of my chute.

I'm certain there never has been a piece like yours on there.

Under normal circumstances/branches it ejects just fine and dandy.

Every GM shear bar I've done has been turnable, but I've had a couple come out cracked in half. They are pretty dear but don't need replacing very often. They can be a pig to get out...

No, you wrong there, they are a CHUFFING pig to get out!

Anyway a bit of an update, this week we did a clearance of leylandii, almost exactly the same trees as the ones that caused such problems this summer. I haven't changed anything in the chipper because it's a hassle and it still chips like a monster otherwise.

So, no problem at all, didn't block once. My theory fwiw, in the summer the extra sappiness of the wood and green stuff one encounters is the issue. I can't think of any other explanation.

Anyone?

Does this model's exhaust feed into the chipper chute?

I wonder if having the extra hot air pushing chip through keeps the chute dryer?

Changing the shear bars around certainly helped but our Quad at 950hours is pants on small stuff even up to 2cm at times.

It just gets sucked up to the top of the rollers and not drawn in unless a packet is fed or fed in with larger wood.
