Heard the news, sounded horrific, she was playing on a swing attached to tree branch that collapsed on her at a children's playground.

Looking at the picture in the article, it looks like the play equipment is made from timber poles. In one article on BBC news, it said it was a zip line and then in the next bulletin it said a swing.

Awful news.

 

Once again the media reporting seems inconsistent.

The BBC report today says it was a swing made of poles from tree trunks - not exactly a tree failure. Feel so sorry for the mum, whatever the reason.

 

Lets hope they don't cut down all the trees in the park.
