I might have one, you are talking about the white plastic cover that sits behind the sprocket right?

 

You'll need to give me a couple days to remember where the hell I've put it though. I know it's off an 028, but I'd still need to check the part no. once I've found it.

Thanks Dan. Farmer rod is sorting me out with the part. Wish I'd thought of asking on here ages ago, I've been hunting high and low. :thumbup:

Really have to say how impressed I am with the power of arbtalk, and the collective spirit of forum members. The part from Farmer Rod was waiting for me when I got home today! And all he asked was I donate to a really worthy cause, medicine sans frontier, which myself, and the lad I'm fixing the saw for have done. 👍

Rod I've found some more bits for that saw if you or anyone is interested, again for a donation although technically I owe the bits to you.. The exhaust, Top covers and starter mechanism.

 

I couldn't find the exhaust to the Husky 288xp I was looking for though. I did come across a McCulloch 630 I'd forgotten I'd been given.
