what have they changed ,

Not a great deal, just quite a few minor things.

Grease points.

Stop reverse bar with buttons.

Better mounts for components under the bonnet.

Others that I can't remember too.

Thing is, it's a proven design and therefore difficult to improve upon.

A good example is how much better a new Skoda car is, because the old 1980's one was so bad!

The Jensen has always been good.

what size capacity is the 540? we have just got a 530 at work first time working with a tracked chipper, absolutely love it.

It's 7.5 " but if the log is smooth it will take 8".

It's infinitely better than the old A530, however the new A530 has a shorter wider hopper so it's much easier to feed.

So I just collected my new A540 from Arbrep Services.

Someone asked about the design improvements so these are the few I can remember:

Better stop bar (with buttons).

Better fuel tank with gauge.

External grease nipples that are connected to rollers etc with proper hydraulic hoses (not drinking straws).

Much better chassis.

Really excellent jockey wheel.

Integrated tool box.

Better reinforcement in stress areas, it appears.

Two excellent bottles of South African wine.

Better electrics.

A nice thank you card.

A very comprehensive warranty.

An awesome deal too from Charles & Joanne!
