Applying decals on a Aluminium chip box.

Just recently purchased a land rover 130 with a aluminium chip body. The side of the chip box is ideal for advertising so I want to put our company logo and details on the side. Not sure if I can spray a background or apply some kind of vinyl wrap. Not sure what the most practical option is, I want a solution that won't get scratched off after a few weeks. Any advice please? What did other owners do?

Vinyl wrap or cut lettering work well on aluminium, as long as it's clean.

 

You can paint but you need a really good etch primer to bond with the metal.

We do our own chapter 8 vinyl stickers, the trick is to spray the area with a weak solution of fairy liquid before putting the sticker on, as for sign writing I think your Better spending some money and getting a pro to do it, it's not too expensive and it's the cheapest form of advertising you'll ever get.

As above get it done by a signing company designs are unlimited with modern tec. And as for scratchs its a works truck.

Owner managers take all the financial risks its not much to ask for a new truck a big investment to be respected and looked after for as long as possible.

An additional means of protection for the lettering may include a sheet of plexiglass covering all exposed areas. Relatively inexpensive here stateside and easy to replace with new while protecting the original lettering, investment.
