560/550xp on a 15inch bar all day every day unless there are a lot of big trees then it's on to the 372xp

Try 3/8x8 on the 560 when using a 15" bar.

How do you reckon a 550 13" 8 pin would handle it?

If that's about .325, it should.

Be aware that what works for one person (and his set of conditions) may not work for the next person(and his set of conditions), as there are a lot of variables involved.

You don't know before you have tried it! :001_smile:

Btw, you need a standard (some call it large) 7-spline drum to use 3/8x8 or .325x9 on the 560, as those rims aren't made for the small 7-spline drums. It is easily availiable from Husky.

No, that's what I run.

I wonder if I could run the same but in 3:8ths.

I doubt I could get a 3/8 small bar mount and 3/8 small spline sprocket?

Small mount bars in 3/8" isn't a problem, even though not every dealer have them in stock (in Europe).

You can get a 3/8x7 rim for the small spline (504 52 30-02 from Husky), but usually not a 3/8x8 (I don't thing that would work well on the 550 anyway).
