I looked into doing this here in Ireland, but found that most of the best brands were already gone in my area and I didn't want to be stuck selling brands I wouldn't buy myself.

Its important to remember that its not just the stoves you need to stock... parts, pipes chimney accessories etc are also vital (They may well be more lucrative than the stoves themselves).

You will need a proper showroom where people can see a range of stoves in comfort and can imagine them in their own home.

You also will need in depth knowledge of the product and its correct installation and patience to spend hours talking to people, some who have no real intention of buying!

 

Edit- You could ask these guys have they got any agencies going in your area...

True, but I would imagine most of the website sellers also have a showroom. Most people see a stove as a feature in a room as well as a source of heat and may want to see "it in the flesh".

However... something like this would be ideal:cool1:
