How's your day been?

This may have been a topic already but I'll go in head first all the same.

I just thought I would create a thread for those who fancy sharing how their day has gone. Maybe you have had an epic day, not a saw stuck or a silky cut in sight, the team has been in good spirits and clients are happy, there was an amusing incident involving a neighbor, a scuba suit and a Japanese love doll, or maybe you've had a crap day and want to vent about it to those who will understand.

Unfortunately, today(and my apologies for entering in on a negative note) was of the latter for me..

I've not had a terrible day on the grand scheme of things, but never the less an uninspiring drag. I've been doing some forestry work while things are quiet, currently thinning a Douglas plantation. Today was a case of finishing up the last block before moving on to the next site, straight forward enough but about 95% of all marked trees were very tall whippy examples of Goat Willow that have self seeded all over the place and woven themselves nicely amongst the already extremely dense canopy, so it has been a whole lot of trying to untangle those and then a whole lot of dealing with the mess they make, worst of all they are of no commercial value whatsoever and I'm on piece rate, so for a long old day of frustration, getting whipped, scratched and violently penetrated I made about £20!

Never mind, rough with the smooth 'ey.

Stop moaning! You've earned 20 quid more than me today.

Must be a day for high earners.

My take was about £20 as well after we had to shift two loads of conny cord from a previous job after the customer changed his mind.

Again.

Long story.

Then found a bees nest in a windblown chestnut we were meant to shift, although we worked round that, and will have to move that section carefully in the winter.

Really enjoyable day though, which makes up for the lost coin.
