problems with ms200t

hello one and all

hope someone can help me, i've had a problem with my ms200t the on/off switch was not staying in the half open clutch position. so i've taken it apart what a mistake as all the inners fell out and i can't seem to locate a picture or diagram so i can put it back together.

can anyone help

I did the same thing with mine for a faulty earth

I must admit after 1 hr of trying to put it back together i gave up

All the bits in a bag and off to my local dealer

After a lot of laughing at my expense it cost me £25 wont do that again

do you have a fax ??? if so i can send you a parts diagram , if not im happy to talk you through putting it back together , i have had to do a few of them now lol

Thats harsh, most of the Stihl dealers i'd deal with would replace the earth wire for the few quid the part costs, it only take 5 minutes. Same with the throttle and choke rods (which are coloured! to make it easy to know how they go back in).

Ah bless your hearts,it's obvious you aren't saw mechanics .

 

A 200T can be a bit of a bear to get the handle apart or back together ,especially if you are not familiar with working on saws ,Stihls in praticular .

 

Relax,have a little tea or a pint and ease into it.If you can't remember how you got it apart take notes while you are doing so .

 

Fact is I did a thread on another web site so if anyone is interested speak up and I'll stick on here .I could also imbed a link but I won't do so unless the administrater says it's okay .Don't want to step on anyones toes .

LOL- its cause ms200t are rubbish - get yr camera phone out an pic every stage-frankly this is the reason I wouldnt buy one. Ms192t are betterer or husqy 335 t -only 4 bits in the handle.

Well everybody is entitled to an opinion .As to the Husky 335 I have three in my shed with bad oilers .

 

Seems odd but my 3 little Stihls,020 top handle,020 T plus my souped up Ms 200T all start good ,cut good and oil good .So much for rubbish .

Never had a problem with a 200t apart from earth wires or putting them back together after dropping out of the tree.
