Hi Ant

I have just got back from living and working in Vancouver for 2 years. Some of the bigger companies are more likely to hire you and sort out a visa. Try Davey on the island or Bartletts. if you want anymore info let me know. Or just email all the companies someone will get back to you. Bc is a wicked place.

Good Luck

Yep try the big companies if you need sponsorship. Or if you are certain you want to emigrate then get the process started yourself, with your experience and qualifications you should get in via the federal skilled trades program.

Hi Ant!

How have you been getting on with the job search?

I'm also planning a move to BC later this year. I'm just trying to work out the best way to do it. I got put on a waiting list for the working holiday visa so that's not looking likely to happen.

Any helpful info would be appreciated :thumbup1:

Cheers,

Allan.

Hi Ant and Allan, in the same boat as both of you guys.

I'm also on the waiting list. It's a bit of shame they're still only letting in five thousand in a year.

What other ways of getting into the country for two years work are there?

Would be good to hear how your getting on.

Cheers, Josh
