I sold my machine before I had to do it as even the factory said it was a total bitch of a job as you have to do it from under the machine with a slide hammer.

The factory told me I would be swearing a lot and have grazed knuckles by the time I had done it! Bought a forst instead.

That's what mine did to, sent it into local dealer and let them deal with it and replace bearings at same time as had tiny bit of play as heard it was a testing job and I'd loose blood doing it.

Just an update to say rather than pay Greenmech £210 for the anvil bar I got a local engineering firm to machine a new bar and sharpen the blades for a total of £120. Result.

I don't know if this is a silly question but what are the shear bars for/located?

I have a quadchip and it would be handy if I had a heads up if this problem arises. Cheers
