How much exposure does it take?

Which hand, if there is a difference? is the most likely to Exhibit symptoms.

cos my left index and second finger have started getting bloody annoying in the cold.

Just this past Spring.

Could it be Raynaud's, which is to do with the circulatory system rather than the nervous system as is White Finger?

I suspected the latter in myself but am now convinced it's Raynaud's; always the same fingers on each hand, numbing in order as the blood flow drops.

AhHa!

My wife and Daughter both got Raynaulds, and even as a young man in the TA, I could not grip a pencil in the Jan/Feb Scottish winter cold, while others were not the least bothered.

Prob just age, and ongoing physical decrepitiude related, since only started recently.

Ah well.

Still glad to wake up grumpy any morning!

Poor Grumpy, leave him be.

I have had white finger since 16 from motorbike days, didn't stop me using a saw for 35 years but gloves are worthwhile if you can stand them.

A 90% chance it's Raynaud's then I'd say unless at that tender age you'd inflicted unnatural amounts of vibration to your young hands :blushing:

Raynauds here - horrible and debillitating. I missed 2 years skiing because of it, then found battery heated gloves which really helped. In the winter months I take Nifepidine tablets (prescription needed) which increase the circulation to fingers and toes. It's not a cure but it keeps me working!
