Electricity cables.

You probably find your not insured to do it anyway, I don't go anywhere near electricity. My big brother helps me doing ground work at times. he's an electrical engineer, and some of the stories he's told me about accidents involving electricity I just don't go near it.

The customer can specify what is known as a restricted cut which means that the bare minimum is taken off to allow clearance; usually works out that the cutters will be back each year to snip off any regen.

 

 

That is true but as already stated the DNO have(or should maintain) the statuary clearance.

but of course if the cable type is ABC then there is no safety distance requirement.

at the end of the day the tree owner can say stuff you, your not cutting the trees, get your pole off my land - this scenario is going on in Yorkshire involving a large land owner.

 

yes they can with draw there wayleave agreement (assuming they have a pole on there land) but if that pole/cable supplies there property the DNO can refuse to supply power to there property.

It gets more complicated when it doesn't supply you. I think the DNO has 2 years to remove it once cancelled
