Trying to help a friend with this.

Where's the best place to buy fence posts and panels at the best prices?

3" or 4" timber posts with 6'x6' panels?

Is it acceptable to lay untreated oak sleepers direct onto flat/firm soil or is a base needed?

Thanks

Not sure how far you'd travel (or far they deliver) but Cox Landscapes at Plains Farm on Ipswich Rd, Colchester are very good. Happy to advise on materials and methods too. A Google search brings up their website and price list

Don't bother putting wooden posts in use concrete

How high you going with the sleepers

Totally agree, but there are two ways of looking at it 1. concrete posts last forever, wooden posts last at the most 5 years, but with a bit of luck you have to replace them again.

Yes, and next time they ask for concrete:001_smile:
