A customer has offered me a lathe that he is selling and I am going to have a look later on in the week. It's a harrisons graduate lathe 54". I don't know anything about lathes but do want to start turning, will probably go on a couple courses etc to start me off. Does anyone have any feedback on this lathe?

Thanks for the quick replys guys!

 

I'm not sure yet se7enth I will be calling round on Thursday for some bartering. I don't think it's going to be cheap. I will let you know

good lathe, has it got variable speed? alot of them where used in schools, so you may have too jack it up a bit,I had a graduate as my second lathe,,solid beast,good value.

Bought for £1000 + grind out stump in front garden.

 

It's as clean as a whistle apart from a bit of dust. Has variable speed. :thumbup1: looking forward to useing it!
