Stumpgrinder business...

No way I would sub in a man and machine in for £500, I pay £300+VAT for a day and £175+VAT for half day. I would not expect 8 hours with no breaks mind.

£500 direct to the customer may be achievable, but seems very high to me, many two man gangs with truck and chipper, are not charging that.

Just out of interest, what are a two man gang charging around your way?

Lifes easy! Ain't it!?

Its not easy, but experience helps, IMO.

You need to value your time and charge accordingly, then hold your nerve, easier said than done.

Getting offered more work than you need is the secret, you can put in the price you want and don't need to win them all.
