Defence mechanisms of woody plants against fungi

1992, a Springer publication with hundreds of references.

Chapter 6, "Microenvironmental aspects of xylem defences to wood decay fungi" is written by Lynne Boddy.

Not particularly easy to read if you're rusty on biochemistry or plant structure, but worth perservering with.

Cheers, might have to hunt a cheap copy down. The new Klaus, Mynors and a couple of random old ID books in the last month has just about done my book budget for the time being!

Reader's Digest (Nature Lover's Library) Field Guide to the Trees and Shrubs of Britain is a stellar book. For close-ups of buds, it's probably one of the best I have come across. As a supplement to Roger Phillips' book and the Collins guide, this is wonderful.

Only £10 on webshops, too.

I picked this book up at a carboot for a £1
