The bits lower at the front cuz there is a ladder going up the side and it will be a bit of storage for rakes and maybe a wheel barrow!

Ill put a couple more pics of today's work and you'll see what I mean

Thanks... The rest of the roof will also double up as a work platform!

It's been a tough build with a lot of planning involved but it's turning out just as I wanted it whilst saving ££££

Sort of similar to how i did mine on my current transit, although tool box same height. Its great to get stuck into something like this!

 

Make sure you have a higher tail gate made an maybe barn doors :D

 

Makes me want to buy another truck to do it to again :D

Yeah it's 7.5ton truck

 

It's great fun doing it for yourself.... I've seen a lot of chip boxes and I'm incorporating the best bits of what I've seen into one!

 

The rear will have two small barn doors and two large barn doors right up to the top, they will be able to open together or separate and the large top ones will add as a wind block for the debris when chipping!

 

I've had to leave the front tool box suspended so I can get my 15ft Ramps in!
