Thats true - sadly Gordon wanted to believe the banks, (after all they were alovely source of taxfor many years). He should have been wiser. No Uk governemnet has 'fixed the roof while the sun was shining'. Look at what Norway has done with its North Sea oil momey - we could have done much, much better.

You really need to do some research on that one.

The last Labour government didn't bankrupt the country - that would be the bankers. We, the taxpayers, had to bail them out.

Nail - Head - hit - on. The bankers, being the Oxbridge, bullingdon club, land owning tories who love zero hours contracts, screwed the miners, the minors and anyone else who doesn't own the right amount of land or went to the right school.

Labour.

It was Labour who deregulated our banking system.

Labours answer to unemployment is public sector jobs, thats like me employing my family in order to increase household income :001_rolleyes:

No - that would be Margaret Thatcher. Here's a quote from the financial Times: 'Bank deregulation part of Thatcher legacy'. Its well worth reading the FT, great surce of info IMHO.

I'm 51 years old, I lived through the three day week, power cuts, miners strikes, even striking bloody firemen.

I didn't mind Tony Blair (apart from the whole war stuff) but I tell you I could never vote for a real socialist. It's the politics of jealousy.
