Was that from John Deere at Carlisle? I only use them if I'm really desperate, get most things from msa machine spares, keeps most common JD parts in stock and so much cheaper, Stephen there really goes out his way to help too, great to see someone take on the big boys.

What are the rings actually for, couldnt you of just got some generic ones to fit.

Frame brake solenoid in harvester; none of the hydrau shops could get the wee white teflon backup rings.

It's often how many suppliers it passes through before getting to the end user.

For example said O ring made by a company. Either goes to a wholesaler then to JD or straight to JD. Dealer buys it from JD who then sells to the customer. A handful of £5 markups gives you an expensive O ring/s

Im not sure on the teflon, Im fortunate to have these folk in a tiny unit nearby.

Direct Gaskets - Gasket Manufacturers, Suppliers of O Rings, Gland Packing, Non Asbestos Fibres, UK

Always pop in myself, but they have made me transmission gaskets from a pattern Ive made the old way cutting with a hammer. For half the price of a dealer. Also got o rings etc for rams, valves, diesel sealing components etc.

Highly recommended.
