I rent a container and have a squire exterior padlock on it, I would rather have a container where there is a lock welded on and key to poke through. My guess is anyone with a battery angle grinder could cut whatever padlock, be a bit noisy for 40 seconds.

Couldn't believe the stumpgrinder story on arbsafe, people with dodgy reg no's make cctv only partly useful.

Been looking at squire square combinations locks with 5 digits and the Abus granit plus.. Do you go keys or combination?! Seen a few videos over the last 3-4 hours searching of locks being picked etc. starting to think a dogs the only way!

mines a key lock - I think the idea above of steel boxes around the padlocks would at least slow them down. An oversize high security mortice lock (set in hard timber, or welded on) like for a house front door may be doable, not sure if any are unpickable.

With the amount of money at stake I would take a few pictures or do a drawing of the site and type of door constructions and go to a couple of good locksmith shops and ask their advice.

Yeah that's a good shout as would restrict them for cutting but it seems they helped for leverage on other occasions with a mates shipping containers that got opened, leverage apparently. Just have to go mad on the inside!

Mortice a no go..

I have electric so any other ideas be good!

Sensors that alert you to movement are the best bet linked to a camera that can be viewed remotely on your phone. The above method has saved the kit of a friend of mine. Really need to live with in 20 mins of yard though.

I have locks CCTV security fencing and trackers on plant park the machinery against container make it as hard as possible for them. Dog would be good if it could be kept the humanly.

I don't see how the lock boxes can be used to apply pressure to the padlocks if there made correctly plus the locks are round so hard to get a grip on.

Talk to your insurance company and explain what security you have and make sure there happy with it then they can't wriggle out of it if the worst happens.
