Got to disagree there Hodge, the aftermarket ones I buy (I won't mention their name) are made from the same udderholm steel as the originals.

I always buy aftermarket, have done for many years, never a single problem.

 

 

Not if there Timberwolf. Timberwolf make their own blades, these are then stamped with genuine Timberwolf. The aftermarket TW do not go through the same manufacturing process. As for other makes I can't comment.

Can't see the point in spending thousands of pounds on a machine then saving a few quid on non genuine parts that are actually really important.

Never seen the point in paying over the odds for exactly the same quality.

Had the same problem, but the knife broke in half, and caused devastation.

Genuine parts too.

Depends on what chipper, TW non genuine are not made the same as genuine ones. The metal is different and it does not go through the same Manufacturing process.

.... I have never had a problem with genuine blades,can't really comment on after market ones as I have never run them but the fact people have problems with them says something!

Timberwolf make there own blades and use a secret process that is different to any other company. The blades from that batch then are tested and if not up to standard they are rejected. This is what I have been told by Timberwolf themselves.

I buy mine from spectrum plant and are genuine and a good price
