Ive got a mondeo estate, Cracking for work, great on fuel and loads of space for tools, Suprising how much brash it can fit in too :blushing:

I even slept in the thing onsite last night and it was very comfortable, What more can you ask from a car. :scared1::001_tt1:

Ive heard the 406 diesel engine is bullet proof although ive never owned one myself

Ive got a 23 year old nissan micra, seats are down, in estate mode, yes ive slept in it, was quite comfy actually. Handles all the saws and kit with ease, also handles my heavy foot with just 4 gears. You need ear defenders on when doing the ton, you'll also get white finger of it aswell :scared1:

:001_tt1:

it was one of the reasons i bought an estate :D

If you ever take one piece of advice, Take this one Alex, if your planning on doing that buy a single air bed, just enough room with the seats down and it made my night sooooooooooo much more comfortable than i was expecting, i didnt even think one would fit in, So i didnt take one up but Ed had a spare one, Thankfully :001_cool:

i have the same engine in my citroen dispatch and it really only gets used for short times travelling from job to job but as you say totally bombproof and easily cruises at the ton with a back full of logs and brash and all my gear:001_tongue:

i've got an astra estate and it does me fine, i might upgrade to a truck when work picks up but no need at the mo as the vauxhall ashtray fits all my gear and the missus and a dog, what more do you need?

i used to have the same - and it was blue! (i take it thats the one in your picture?)

and ben - my astra's head gasket blew on the way back from cornwall
